Sunday, December 12th is St Peter’s PajamaSunday at both services.
The Third Sunday of Advent takes a break from the heaviness of the season with the lighting of a rose-colored candle instead of the regular purple candles during Advent. We remember Mary – Mom! – and the shepherds who were visited by angels & told, “Be not afraid. We bring you good news of GREAT JOY which will be to all the people.”
Let’s enJOY the day & each other while recalling our Zoom days when we were able to worship in our jammies from home (Zoomans vs humans). The children will also have a sweet treat to distribute that Sunday at 10am.
If you’re thinking like one of the Sunday school children, “Thank you ever so much, but I’ll just wear my regular clothes that Sunday,” give yourself a rethink as we invited our little precocious one to do. The Very Rev Jeff says he & Marietta have their jammies all ready to roll out. Join in the fun! Note to our pajama/loungewear literalists – nightgowns, robes, sweats, blankets, quilts, throws, prayer shawls, coveralls (Jeff’s grandpa slept in his coveralls) all count as pajamas.
