Ash Wednesday Eucharist

Ash Wednesday The first of the forty days of Lent, named for the custom of placing blessed ashes on the foreheads of worshipers at Ash Wednesday services. The ashes are a sign of penitence and a reminder of mortality, and may be imposed with the sign of the cross. We will observe Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at two services:

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner Shrove Tuesday, is the traditional feast day before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday. Lent – the 40 days leading up to Easter – was traditionally a time of fasting and on Shrove Tuesday, Anglo-Saxon Christians went to confession and were “shriven” (absolved from their sins). Become a Lay Reader Becoming a lay reader is a wonderful way to participate in our worship services. At each service, lay leaders read the lessons and guide the congregation in the Psalms. Join Fr. Blue Christmas Service with Luminaries on the Labyrinth A Blue Christmas service is a quiet, contemplative service that usually happens near the winter solstice; the day which has the longest night and the shortest day. Celebrate Confirmation & Reception
