Parish Meeting with the Bishop

Morning Prayer, 10 AM
Sunday at 10 AM, Morning Prayer with the Liturgy of the Word On specific Sundays we meet for Morning Prayer. We makes use of a wide variety of Episcopal resources for the Liturgy of the Word, especially those that emphasize inclusive language for God and people. We use Enriching our Worship and the whole collection of Episcopal hymns and music.

Great Vigil of Easter
The Great Vigil of Easter is the Queen of Liturgies! It is the service from which all the rest of our worship flows. We will begin with the lighting on the new fire and the recitation of the Exsultet before the Paschal Candle. We will hear readings from the Hebrew Bible recalling God’s salvation history, before renewing out Baptismal vows. We then proclaim Jesus’ Resurrection and celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter with hymns, bells, and great joy!

Maundy Thursday
Our Maundy Thursday observance begins with an Agape Supper at 6:15 pm, which includes special blessings of our meal and the reading a portion of Jesus’ Last Priestly Prayer from the Gospel of John. Following supper we will celebrate Holy Eucharist and recall Jesus Institution of the Lord’s Supper, as well as participate in the foot washing, as Jesus did for his friends on their last night together, commanding them to Love One Another.
