NW Mission District Clericus Meeting

 St. Peter’s has been asked to sponsor the dinner at the July clericus meeting for the clergy of the North West Mission District. This is a meeting for the collegiality and support of the clergy in our district that is held at a different church, monthly. The meeting is for clergy only.

Spring Cleanup Day

Come join us for our Spring/Summer cleanup on Saturday June 22, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. until noon (or whenever it gets too hot). There is plenty of work to be done, both outside and inside. Sherry, our new house cleaning coordinator will be joining us with her husband to take down the Parish Hall storm windows for cleaning. Baptism, Confirmation & Reception Classes

Baptism, Confirmation & Reception Class Classes are underway… Fr. Michael will lead the first class on Sunday, June 16 at 9 a.m. and classes will continue on June 30, July 14, July 21, and August 4. Bishop Elizabeth Homecoming

Bishop Elizabeth Bonforte Gardner will join us for a special combined worship service at 10 a.m. on Mother’s Day 2024. We will host a special “homecoming” reception for Bishop Elizabeth after the 10 am service concludes. Please join us for cake, coffee and fellowship in the Parish Hall. World Labyrinth Day

ECW Nevada Spring Tea

Episcopal Church Women of Nevada invite you to attend a Spring tea at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Sparks.  They will serve scones, lemon curd, sandwiches, desserts, and an assortment of teas. Lay Eucharistic Minister Training

Lay eucharistic ministers (LEM) may be licensed to administer the consecrated bread and wine at any celebration of the eucharist in the absence of a sufficient number of priests and deacons to assist the celebrant. They may also be licensed to go from a Sunday eucharist or other principal celebrations of the eucharist to share the sacrament with members of the congregation who were unable to be present at the celebration because of illness or infirmity. Lenten Lunch Study

Everyone is Welcome for Lenten Lunches Just a Reminder, we are having a lenten lunch study! Booklets in English and Spanish are available in the parish hall. Take one to a Spanish-speaking friend and invite them to join us. Fr. Michael has joined the Pam and Hallie team for the study this season. He will guide us through the practice of Lectio Divina. NOTS: documentary screening “A City in Crisis”

St. Peter’s and NOTS are hosting the Carson City debut screening of the documentary “A City In Crisis”. This documentary shines a harsh light on the reality of the unhoused in Washoe County. The producer, Bob Conrad, PhD. will introduce the film and NOTS will foster discussion about this important topic and how it affects the community of Carson City.
