On
Sunday, January 12, Preston Emborsky, grandson of parishioners Tom and
Isobel Streenan, unveiled his Eagle Scout project at our 10:00 am
service. Preston built seven Karma Boxes to be distributed throughout
Carson City. A Karma Box can be filled with non-perishable food items,
toiletries, and warm clothing for the winter, and water in the summer.
Anyone in need can take whatever is in the box, and those who are more
fortunate can donate.
Father
Jeff gave the blessing, reminding us to do the right thing. Grant
Denton, founder of the Karma Box project came to add his support. The
children donated hats, scarves and gloves. The Karma Box is located on
the north side of the church, next to the Parish Hall entrance. All
donations are gratefully received.
