Transition can bring anxiety to a congregation, but it also brings opportunity. The workshop and follow-up sessions will focus on leadership skills that build “quiet confidence” to guide wardens, vestry members, and others during this transitional season.

The Very Rev. Stephen Brehe is the retired Dean of St. Peter’s Cathedral of Helena, MT (1991-2010). He is currently Canon for Christian formation.

His academic degrees include a D.Min. from Graduate Theological Foundation at Notre Dame, IN., an M. Div. Seabury-Western Theological Seminary at Evanston IL., an M.A. University of Missouri at Columbia MO., and a B.A. Marietta College at Marietta OH
He is currently religion page columnist writing on intersection of faith and society for the Helena Independent Record at Helena MT and was the former religion reporter for the St. Louis Globe-Democrat at St. Louis MO.
He has been married for 56 years to Jacqueline Ellert Brehe, Ph.D., and is the father of two adult sons. He has a cat named for the most famous Biblical figure most people don’t know. Be sure to ask.
